Professional background

Peyman Bakhshayesh is a Consultant in Major Trauma at Leeds General Infirmary and an Honorary Senior Lecturer at the University of Leeds. He trained in trauma and orthopaedics in Sweden and completed his doctorate at Karolinska Institutet. His clinical and research interests include complex fractures, pelvic injuries, foot and ankle surgery, three-dimensional imaging and recovery after trauma.

Born in Abadan and based in Leeds, he connects personal experience with history, reason and civic responsibility.
